Yesterday I turned 25, it was a pretty anticlimactic day overall, I got to sleep in and had a nice dinner with my family. I finally upgraded my old 13in. TV to a nice 20in. RCA TrueFlat TV so I can actually read word on screen and enjoy movies in stereo sound. I don't feel any older I guess but I feel the approach of 30 a little stronger maybe. I hope everyone is well, I'm going to try and get some sleep and update the site some more. :)

I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving if you celebrate this particular holiday and to wish you a good day if you do not. I'll be spending today with my family and just generally relaxing while plotting my moves for my "Black Friday" sales purchases. Will anyone else be joining me? :)

It looks like I won't be able to afford this dedicated server we are paying for, luckily my friend Andy is letting me host for awhile on his box over at Through some DNS fiddling and the use of rsync everything went off extremely well. :) Please let me know if there are any hiccups.!

I found yet another really good article over on Paul's site on how to embed a Flickr slideshow into a post. I thought I would apply this to display my most recent set of photos from Halloween. The rest of my photos can be found on my Flickr page. Feel free to check them out. :)

I just read Paul's review of ReviewMe. Apparently, this service is open to anyone who has a blog or wishes to pay to have their products or services reviewed on a blog can join this service for free. Once you create an account you can connect with companies who are willing to pay you for your review.

I have to agree with Paul that this seems a bit dubious but hey you never know what people are willing to pay for I suppose. :) When you submit a sire various factors such as your Technorati ranking are automatically configured and a price is set for your blog. The site is very straight forward and easy to use, but I wish I was worth a little but more but hey I guess you can't have it all. I will try the service out and let you know what I think about it. Go give it a shot, you can't beat the price. :)

Update: Just letting you know that the site is having a contest that demos how the service works. If they accept this review I will be getting paid for it, I just thought I should disclose that. Also feel free to list me as a trackback or to comment on this service or what you think about bloggers taking pay to review products. Does this lead to less impartial bloggers?

I voted today (I even have a fancy sticker to prove it) and I think that you should vote so that your views may be known in your government. Whether you voted or not what is your thoughts on the present Democratic process?

Well I have now finished restoring everything to the way they should be! I have also promised myself to stop tinkering so much but I'm not sure how long that will last. ;) I have also played around with the style sheet as the default K2 style is a bit boring if functional. Please let me know what you think about the layout and if you find any bugs/glitches. I hope everyone has a great week! :)

I'm not sure what I did but somehow I screwed up my wp-content folder on the server. I have since deleted it and will be restoring things from a backup that I have. Sorry about the downtime folks. :/

I was just wondering if anyone knew of some resources (books, websites, etc.) that might offer me some insight for the care of Cats or Guinea Pigs. I have one of each and want to make sure that I am taking good care of them. My cat Thor has an ear infection so he can't walk well at present (another reason that I haven't been around much) and its a full time job feeding him blended food and whatnot. As for the Guinea Pig Cavi, he is really skiddish around me and runs when I try to pick him up. Is that normal or am I doing something wrong? Ive only had 2 cats who ran away and this is my first Guinea Pig so I woudl really appreciate it if anyone had any suggestions, etc. :)
